Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income

Playing with us should be entertainment in the same way a cinema ticket or a night out is entertainment. It is paid for with money you can comfortably afford to lose, and it is never a way to earn an income or to deal with debt.

We would far rather a player enjoys a small, planned amount of play over many years than spends more than they meant to in a single evening. Every account with us therefore comes with free tools for setting your own limits, and our team is trained to look at how an account is being used and to step in when something appears wrong.

Where we believe your play may be causing you harm, we may contact you, ask you to set a limit, decline further deposits, pause your account or close it. We do this as part of our duty of care, not as a judgement on you.

  • Decide what you can afford to lose before you deposit, and treat that amount as the price of the entertainment.
  • Set a deposit limit that matches that budget, so the decision is made once rather than every time you play.
  • Play only with money set aside for leisure, never with money needed for rent, bills, food or credit repayments.
  • Keep an eye on the time you spend playing as well as the money, and take regular breaks.
  • Treat losses as part of the games, and never deposit again to chase money you have already lost.
  • Avoid playing after drinking, or when you feel upset, bored or under pressure.

The tools in your account and how to switch them on

The tools below sit in the responsible gambling area of your account, alongside the cashier. They are free, you do not need to give us a reason for using any of them, and your settings are always shown in your account.

  1. Sign in and open the responsible gambling or account settings section shown in the menu.
  2. Choose the tool you want, then the amount or the period it should cover.
  3. Confirm the change. Your account will show the setting and the date any change to it takes effect.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps what you can pay in over a day, a week or a month, and you can hold limits for more than one period at the same time. A lower limit applies straight away. A request to raise or remove a limit is held for a cooling-off period and then needs your confirmation before it takes effect.

Loss and wager limits

A loss limit caps how much you can lose, net of winnings, over the period you choose. A wager limit caps the total you can stake. When a limit is reached, play stops until the period resets; the limit does not affect withdrawals of money already in your balance.

Session limits and reality checks

A session limit ends or warns on a session once it has run for the length of time you set. A reality check shows a reminder on screen at the interval you choose, with the time you have played and your net position, so you can decide whether to carry on or stop.

Time-out

A time-out closes your play for a short, fixed break chosen from the options in your account. During a time-out you cannot deposit or stake, and we will not send you marketing. You can still withdraw your balance, and your account reopens automatically at the end of the period.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is a longer, firmer break. Your account is closed to play for the minimum period shown in your account, we remove you from marketing, and we take reasonable steps to stop you opening a new account with us. A self-exclusion cannot be lifted early; when it ends, it stays in place until you ask us to reinstate the account, and a further cooling-off period applies before play resumes.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

Harm builds up slowly, and it is easier to see in habits than in a single session. Go through the list below honestly and think about the past few months rather than today alone.

  • You regularly spend more money or more time gambling than you planned to.
  • You deposit again straight after a loss to try to win the money back.
  • You borrow money, sell belongings or use money meant for bills in order to gamble.
  • You hide how much you gamble from your family, your partner or your friends.
  • You find it hard to stop once you have started, or feel restless when you cut down.
  • You gamble to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or low mood.
  • Gambling is affecting your work, your studies, your sleep or your relationships.

If any of these sound familiar, set a limit or start a time-out today and speak to one of the organisations in the next section. Even one of these signs is worth taking seriously.

Where to get free and confidential help

Help in the UK is free, confidential and available whether you are worried about your own gambling or someone else's.

  • GambleAware - a charity that funds and signposts free treatment across Great Britain and publishes plain-English information on gambling and the support available near you.
  • GamCare - offers free counselling, structured treatment and group support for anyone affected by gambling, including partners and family members.
  • The National Gambling Helpline - a free, confidential line staffed by trained advisers who will talk things through with you and can arrange treatment.
  • GamStop - the free national self-exclusion scheme. One registration blocks your access to every gambling site and app licensed in Great Britain, including ours, for the period you choose.

Registering with GamStop works across operators, so it is the strongest step if you want to stop gambling altogether. Many banks also allow you to block gambling transactions on your card, and blocking software can stop gambling sites loading on your devices.

You can reach us at responsiblegambling@casino888ladies.co.uk, at support@casino888ladies.co.uk or through the live chat on this site if you would like help setting a limit, starting a time-out or closing your account.

Protecting children and shared devices

We check the age and identity of every customer when an account is opened and may repeat those checks later. Where an account turns out to be held or used by someone under 18, we close it, void all play, withhold any winnings and return deposits to the source they came from.

  • Never let anyone under 18 use your account, your log-in details or your payment cards.
  • Sign out fully when you finish playing, and do not save your password in a browser used by children.
  • Install parental control or content-filtering software to block gambling sites on shared devices, and set it up with a password only you know.
  • Keep cards, wallets and banking apps locked, and check statements for payments you did not make.
  • Talk to children about why gambling is for adults only.
